The secret to success

The Alma Mater of the IM Alumni Association is the  School of Business FHNW. The  International Management programme was the very first Bachelor (initially diploma) degree in Switzerland entirely taught in English. It began with a modest enrollment of a dozen students at Campus Olten and meanwhile, since the programme is also offered at Campus Brugg, registrations are up to nearly 200 a year (full-time and part-time modes). Additionally, about 80 exchange students join the programme for a semester months each year.

From the start, it was obligatory for IM students to go abroad for at least one semester and this lead to the establishment of a broad network of partner universities – currently around 130 across all continents.

With the increase in interest in international programmes, two MSc programmes entirely taught in English were also launched many years ago, both with dual degree options, and have meanwhile become very popular and attract especially students from countries all over the world. Students and alumni from both these programmes (MSc in International Management and MSc in Business Information Systems) are affiliated to IM Alumni and can join the association and attend events.
